Kina Blue 7cm Bowl
This porcelain bowl features a drawing of a kina, a sea urchin endemic to New Zealand. Living by the sea has inspired my designs to be based on coastal flora and fauna.
Technical information:
The Kina series features a textural relief design with a transparent slightly crackle glaze inside and unglazed outside. 70mm diameter x 20mm high · each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid and a story about the meaning of the design on the box bottom, as well as a story card inside about the artist and design. These pieces feature irregularities in both shape and form; this is part of the organic nature of the collection. Food safe, dishwasher & microwave safe. Designed in New Zealand, made in China.
