An iconic New Zealand image, the silver fern symbol comes from the New Zealand fern – Cyathea Dealbata (Ponga is the Maori name). Its unfurling frond symbolizes strength, growth and new beginnings.

Made from white porcelain. Decal bowls have a semi-gloss clear glaze with decal and unglazed outside.
100mm x 28mm high ˑ each piece comes boxed with an image of the design on the lid and a story about the
meaning of the design on the box bottom, as well as a story card inside about the artist and design.
These pieces feature irregularities in both shape and form; this is part of the organic nature of the collection.
